Autograph A2D is a collaboration of 4 veterans of the audio industry. Formed using the model of Autograph Sound Recording in London with their 40-year history designing sound for the theater and equipping some of the world’s best-known musicals. This expertise has given A2D a unique insight into what theatre sound professionals need to work their magic in the 21st century. In the process, its engineers have broadened the scope and arguably facilitated the development of the modern musical.
Recently we have expanded into the microphone and speaker world for theatrical markets with Point Source a California based microphone company and KV2 a Czech Republic speaker company. Point source specializes in miniature microphones impervious to sweat and dust. The quality of their microphones is second to none. KV2 specializes in high quality point source speaker systems with unmatched clarity and quality.
A2D brings these products to the theatrical market to enhance audio for Broadway, Off Broadway and touring worlds. We recognized that we need to enlist the help of today’s designers and engineers and listen to what they need. We have worked extensively with DiGiCo, Point Source and KV2 to enhance their products for this industry.
The Autograph A2D partners are:
Andrew Bruce is the founder and owner of Autograph Sound Recording. Andrew has designed numerous plays and musicals for the West End as well as Broadway. He developed the software which was used by Cadac and now the Theatrical software for DiGiCo consoles.
Lewis Mead is the co-founder of ProMix a theatrical audio company specializing in Broadway, touring and large-scale sporting events. Lew has also designed many theatrical shows both on Broadway and on the road.
Nigel Olliff is the co-founder of Brook Siren Systems (BSS) and has also been an industry leader with Martin Audio and consultant with companies such as AKG and Soundcraft.
Zac Duax is the technical face of A2D for engineers and designers. He has a vast knowledge of the theatrical world and the technology of audio. Zac has extensive training and experience with the products we represent.
